Nature as an Indifferent Force
A time in my life when nature acted as an indifferent force is I believe everyday. Everyday, I am constantly aware of what the natural world will bring. With everything from what the weather will be, to what natural distaster will occur, or will die or be born all day. For an example, yesterday there was a very large earthquake in Hawaii. Fortuantely, where it hit was not very populated and not too many people were injured, but for all we know she could have hit outside San Francisco and that could have caused much damage. Thus proving that nature does not care one way or the other about if she saves lives or ends them. She's an indifferent force that has the power to be both extremely destructive or incredibly beautiful, one just has to take her for what she is: uncontrollable and unpredictable.

Hey Beth,
sorry i forgot to comment!!! It's really intesting how little we know about the events that happen around us. I have no ideas about the natural disastors that occur around us every day. It makes you think about how little people would think of something like that happening to us! Thinking about what nature can do, and how much we take it forgranted can be scary.
see you around!!
